The area is accessible from the 170 and 5 South Freeways by exiting on Sheldon and turning toward the mountains. Sheldon becomes Wentworth and Stonehurst Ave. is the third left hand turn after you pass Glenoaks. 10180 is the 7th turning on to Stonehurst. There is a concrete block wall along the front of the property, a mailbox with a horse on top and the number marks the turn through a wrought iron gate which says Red Rowan. Enter here and drive to the back of the property where there is ample parking.
From both the 210 and 5 North Freeways the exit is Sunland Boulevard. From the 210 you turn left (away from the mountains) and go downhill through 5 or 6 traffic signals to Stonehurst Ave., where you turn right. From the 5, you turn to the right (toward the mountains) and go up hill through 7 or 8 traffic signals to Stonehurst Ave. There is a left turn lane and traffic signal; turn left on to Stonehurst.
Approaching from Sunland Blvd. you will pass through several stop signs. Dr. Bamford’s sees clients by appointment only. The hours are flexible to accommodate early risers and clients who work late. These include early mornings on Monday, every other (e/o) Wednesday, and e/o Saturday. We offer afternoon and evening appointments (until 6:30 PM) on Tuesday and e/o Thursday. The office is closed on Friday and Sunday. One day every week is dedicated to shelter visits or stable visits for horses. Some portion of every day is set aside for telephone consultations.
